Pumpkin purée gives this mac and cheese a smooth, velvety texture and natural orange color!

🧀 Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups elbow macaroni

  • ½ cup canned pumpkin purée (unsweetened)

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg (optional for warmth)

  • Salt to taste

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1️⃣ Cook the pasta and drain.
2️⃣ Heat the sauce: In a pot, mix pumpkin purée, milk, butter, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt. Warm over low heat.
3️⃣ Add the cheese: Stir in shredded cheddar until melted and smooth.
4️⃣ Combine with pasta and mix until creamy.
5️⃣ Serve warm—super comforting and packed with hidden nutrients!

👶 Toddler-Approved Tips:

✅ Use mild cheddar for a kid-friendly taste.
✅ Add a tiny bit of turmeric for extra orange color (without altering taste!).
✅ For extra creaminess, mix in a little Greek yogurt or cream cheese.
